Algie Davis Melton was born March 30, 1915 and departed this life October 5, 2004 reaching the age of 89. She was the daughter of Benjamin Harrison Davis and Besie Parmley Davis.

She was united in marriage to Fletcher "Slick" Melton, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her nephew, James Decker; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Melton; her parents, Benjamin and Bessie Davis; four brothers, Joe, Kay, and Paul Davis, and one who died in infancy; and two sisters, Alice Decker and Leva Hicks.

She was a loving aunt, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation: Wednesday, October 6 after 5 PM in the funeral home chapel
Funeral Service: Thursday, October 7 at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel
Interment: Parmley's Grove Cemetery
