Alba Jean Humble, age 81 of Monticello, KY passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at Cumberland County Hospital.
She was born July 13, 1937 in Cumberland County, KY; the daughter of the late Ed Keen and Willa Crocket (Hood) Donaldson.
She was married to Daniel Humble for 28 ½ years and to this union 5 children were born.
She is survived by: 2 Sons, Rondal (Carolyn) Humble and Tim (Becky) Humble; 3 Daughters, Marla (Steve) Burke, Beverly (Mark) Burke and Angela (Jerome) Barrier; 8 Grandchildren, Brandy (Rodney) Piercy, Cody (Amanda) Humble, Josh (Rebecca) Humble, Kami (Anthony) Vaughn, Kelly (Roger) Perkins, Grant (Maria) Keith, Garrett Keith, and Hannah Humble; 13 Great Grandchildren, Keely Bertram & Blakely Piercy, Jackson & Gabbie Humble, Dalton, Sydney & Myra Humble, Noah & Ivy Vaughn, Emily Humble & August and Avary Perkins, and Alaina Keith; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 3 Brothers, Carlos Reed, Eldon Gayle and Ted Jennings Donaldson; 2 Sisters, Mary Eddress Donaldson Sharp and Wilma Kay Donaldson Perdew; and 1 Great Grandchild, Adrien Skye Perkins.
At a young age she was baptized into the Church of Christ, where she credits her faith to her mother Willa and Grandfather Matthew Hood. After moving to Monticello, she became a member of the Monticello Church of Christ where she attended for 55 years.
Visitation will be, Friday, January 4, 2019 at 5pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Cumberland Valley Manor and Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
