ADLENINE COFFEY was born September 30, 1924 and departed this life December 22, 2005 reaching the age of 81 years. He was the son of the late Cleve Coffey and Ora Mae Alley Coffey.

He was united in marriage to Ninnie Smith and to this union one child was born.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ninnie Coffey of Monticello, KY; one daughter, Janice Melvin of Painstville, KY; one grandchild, Leslie Alison Melvin McDonald; one great grandchild, Amanda Morgan McDonald; and three step great grandchildren, Danielle, Chelsea and Gregory McDonald;. He is also survived by two sisters, Emma Jean Smith of Monticello, KY and Evalee Bishop of Princeton, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Ora Coffey; two sisters, Pauline and Christine Coffey; and one brother, Henry Coffey.

He had accepted Christ as his Savior many years ago and was a member of the Roger's Grove Baptist Church.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


Visitation: Friday, December 23rd after 4 pm and Saturday, December 24th after 8 am
Funeral Service: Saturday, December 24th at 1 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
